O.N.E. is published in two reading formats, at the same time, from the very first page:
Right-to-left - the traditional manga format, honouring the form's Japanese roots.
Left-to-right - the Western reading format, for anyone who's never picked up manga because the format felt like a barrier.
Neither one is the "real" version. Both are.
The Philosophy
For a long time, manga released outside Japan was often "flipped" - mirrored horizontally to read left-to-right. It worked, technically. But it distorted the art, reversed characters' handedness, and quietly damaged the integrity of the work. That approach mostly ended in the early 2000s.
O.N.E. isn't flipped. It's designed from the ground up as two equal, original, first-class versions of the same story - created together, not compromising on quality of either.
It says something simple: however you read, you're welcome here.
